Monday – February 27 – This morning we went to Cracker Barrel with Janet and Dave for breakfast then left about 12:30 for Phoenix. We are flying home tomorrow morning for a week and will be going to Toronto from Thursday to Sunday to help Can-Am at the RV Show at the International Centre. We are looking forward to seeing our children, grandchildren, my mother and our siblings, but we are not looking forward to the cold weather. Oh well, it is only for a week and then we will return to the warm south. I will not be updating the blog until we get back to Arizona on the 7th.
Sunday – February 26 – We had a quiet morning, I got the laundry done so that was a good job looked after. We went and played a game of golf this afternoon, what an awful course it was. The greens were terrible and the fairways were very spotty with grass, we all agreed that that would be the first and last time for that course. The added bonus was a sewage smell off and on, whew!

After the game we went to Applebee’s for a drink and snack, then home. Amazing how the day can pass when you are having fun.

Saturday – February 25 – Today was our sunset dinner cruise. The cruise left at 4 so we left here a bit early so we could drive around a bit. To get to Lake Martinez we had to drive through the Yuma Proving Ground, then after driving about 11 miles through the desert we came to Martinez Lake which goes into the Colorado River.

It was a really nice cruise on a stern wheeler boat with a delicious dinner, the only disappointment was that it was a bit overcast so there really wasn’t a great sunset. We went around Lake Martinez and Lake Ferguson as well as down the Colorado River a bit, and the captain gave a very interesting talk most of the way. As Janet said, who would have thought we would be having dinner on a boat, in the middle of a lake in the middle of the desert. There were lots of ducks, egrets and other birds, plus we saw a lot of fish jumping. They had a fishing derby going and the main catch is bass, but we didn’t hear what the largest fish caught so far was.
Friday – February 24 – Today when we went down for water aquatics Betty, the instructor, wasn’t there but there were 16 of us so we decided to try to do them without Betty. What a hoot, but at least we got some exercise. I did some cleaning, we went out and got fuel and did a bit of shopping, but otherwise had a quiet day.
