Friday – March 17 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It was another beautiful day, I went for the water exercises this morning then John and I went back to the market for a bit. We got a small sign made for the trailer with our names on it, now people will know who we are and where we are from. Our son-in-law made us a nice sign a couple of years ago but it is a little large for traveling so is our home sign at Kincardine. Other than that it was a quiet day, just enjoyed the weather.
Thursday – March 16 – Another lovely day. I did some cleaning this morning and John shined up the trailer and got off all the bird droppings, which are most annoying. I love watching the birds but do wish they would go else where when it is time to leave their calling card! This afternoon we went to the market for a couple of hours, went to the Peanut Patch and just toured around a bit. We finally found a couple of golf courses we wanted to check out, now hopefully we can get a time on the weekend. It is funny, the weekends are cheaper to play than week days, the woman at the club house today said that the snow birds like to golf during the week then do the market etc. on the weekend.
Wednesday – March 15 – It was really nice this morning so I went to water exercises and felt much better for having done them. This afternoon we played a game of golf and I had a good game so hopefully my game will come back after not having played for the last couple of years. We picked up some groceries on the way home then sat outside and enjoyed the end of the day sun with a well deserved brew.

Tuesday – March 14 - This morning RV Peddler had a RV show in the park, every couple of weeks they bring in a few trailers to show off. We went down and went through a couple of trailers, sure don’t know where they get their ideas from – they had cupboards that you could only reach with a step ladder unless you are 8’ tall!! Oh well, their coffee and donuts were good.

Today we thought we would check out Imperial Dam, you have to drive through the Yuma Proving Grounds to get there so was about a 20+ mile drive and then when we got there we couldn’t get near the dam. There was a large RV park there which we checked out but it is very expensive and a long way out of Yuma. That was our excitement for today. There wasn’t even anything to take a picture of. Tonight there was a beautiful sunset but we were unable to get a good picture. The park is quickly clearing out, guess come early March all the snowbirds start heading home.
Monday – March 13 – It was a nice day today so we drove around a bit. We found a really nice RV park which we would have liked to book for next winter, but right now they are only taking 5 month reservations so will call back in September and hope we can get a spot. Other than that it was a pretty quiet day.
Sunday – March 12 – We woke up to sunshine this morning and although it was cooler today it was still a pleasant day. I did some laundry then John and I thought we would go back to the market for a bit but when we got there it was closed – the parking lot was very wet so don’t know if that is why it was closed or not. Not being able to shop we went out to Cocopah where Janet and Dave are staying this week to check out the park a bit. We wandered around for a while – checked out the pool, etc. then went to Janet & Dave’s for a visit then we all went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Tomorrow they leave for Lake Havasu so it was a teary goodbye for Janet and I. Hopefully we will meet up back here next winter!
Saturday – March 11 – Well, no golf today! We woke up during the night to hear this funny sound on the roof of the trailer and lo and behold it was something called rain. We haven’t seen any rain other than a few drops in Benson since January 2nd so had almost forgot what it is. It has been over 140 days since it has rained in Yuma so I think it was very welcome here. It rained quite hard off and on all day so hopefully it will do a bit of good. Janet and Dave came for dinner and we had a good game of euchre in the evening – Janet and I won 2 out of 3 games so we were happy.
