Friday – February 3 - The weather here is certainly much warmer than Benson. Today it was in the 80’s again and hopefully it won’t get too cold tonight, so far at 10:00 p.m. it is still 61.

Today we needed groceries so went into Gila Bend, drove by the grocery store and decided we would go to Buckeye which has a large new Fry’s. It was a really nice store so got loaded up for the next week as we don’t want to have to drive 35 miles to get more groceries. It was a nice drive and the highway was interesting, started out as 2 lanes, then 4 lane divided, then 2 with a passing lane (even though it was perfectly flat), then back to 4 and on and on. We passed a huge penitentiary just outside of Buckeye, sure looked like it could hold a lot of people. We went through a large farming area and it looked like cotton along the side of the road so think maybe some of it had been cotton but it is now all picked and the ground plowed under again.

I haven’t taken any pictures in the last couple of days, must get at it again but so far there has been nothing to take.
