Today we went from Grenville Park at Prescott to Camping Transit in Levi's QC. Andy at Can-Am had told me about a route on the south shore of the St. Lawrence so we decided to try it. We took exit 14 in Quebec to cross the river and it was a good drive, not a lot of traffic. The first 25-30 kilometers were two lane roads, then we picked up Hwy. 30 to 20, then on to Levis, a very pleasant drive without the hassle of going through Montreal.
It was cloudy and cooler this morning but eventually the sun came out and the temperature topped out at 28C, much nicer than the last few days!
Driving in Quebec can be very irritating, how come all the highway signs in Ontario have to be bilingual but Quebec is french only, very frustrating when trying to figure out construction signs! Also, there are no alerts for rest areas, just all of a sudden you are going by them. We missed three today as we were at them before we knew they were there - grrr!
Camping Transit is a nice park but way too expensive at $51/night plus $3/night (cash only) for internet. Now I wouldn't mind if the Internet was blazing fast but it is really slow & half the time you can't get on, another rip off as far as I'm concerned and we will be looking for another park on the way home.
And so ends another great gift of a day and we look forward to another great day tomorrow.
