On The Road Again

Today was our first day on the road for our trip to the east coast. We didn't get off to a stellar start, we had taken the trailer to Can-Am RV on Wednesday to have the brakes, wheel bearings etc. done and when we left there this morning the brakes weren't working so back we went, they finally got them working and we left just before 11 am. We then had to make a stop at home in Woodstock as John had forgot the lap top computer.

Okay we are now on the way and arrived at our destination, Grenville Park at Prescott, ON about 6 p.m., much later than planned. It is a pretty little park, right on the St. Lawrence River, but a typical Ontario park - overpriced for what you get. For a site with W/E, no sewer, plus one night's Internet it was $36.58, and that is with the Good Sam discount. The Internet is really slow and the $2/night internet charge is for only one computer, it is $2/night/computer! I really am not thrilled with most parks in Ontario but am happy to say our home park, Green Acres Campground in Kincardine, is a really nice park.

Grenville Park

It is time for bed, a long day for me. I can't figure out why, but the posting time showing on my blog is three hours behind, maybe it is on Yuma time so another quirck for me to try to figure out!

And so ends another great gift oh a day and we look forward to another great day tomorrow.

I agree. Ontario parks really suck the money out of you claiming they have to make a living in the 5-6 months they're open. But so do the parks in the southern U.S. It's mostly too hot to use them in the summer although I know some people do. We stayed at that park in Prescott years ago when we had our Class C. Pretty location but kind of a haphazard park.
