Wednesday – March 22 – Woke up to sunshine this morning and it was a gorgeous day. This morning Janet, Dave, John and I went up the river a bit and checked out another park, then we crossed over the Parker Dam into California. They have the dam blocked so that only cars can cross over and it was tight driving through the barriers. We drove back down the river to a park across from the one we are in. It was a really nice park and had some really great sites right on the river and it turns out that both that park and the one we are in are owned by the same people.

We came back and dropped off Janet and Dave as they were going golfing on their rain check from yesterday, then John and I drove up to Lake Havasu City. It was a pretty drive and Lake Havasu City is pretty, but we both think it is far more scenic right along the river where we are camped as we are surrounded by mountains which are absolutely stunning. We drove around the city, drove over London Bridge and checked out the island, had lunch, did a bit of shopping and returned home. We are now down using the internet and getting caught up, then tonight is a steak dinner with Janet and Dave.
